Mat Pilates
Pilates caters for everyone, from beginner to advanced. You can perform exercises using your own body weight, or with the help of various pieces of equipment. Based on the six principles of concentration, control, centering, flow of movement, precision, and breath, this form of exercise lengthens and stretches all the major muscle groups in your body in a balanced fashion.
Modules
Module 1: Principles of Pilates
This module discusses and expands on correct alignment, breathing and core connection to improve or reinforce your knowledge of the Principles of Pilates.
Module 2: Pilates for Lower Back Care
Learn some gentle pilates based exercises that you can use to help strengthen your lower back, releasing any tension, and preventing back pain.
Module 3: Core and Abdominal Strength
Today you will work on a series of exercises that will strengthen your abdominals and deep core muscles. Strengthening your core will increase balance, mobility, improve posture and can assist in reducing back pain.
Module 4: Full Body Tone
This session will work on strengthening and toning the entire body in a full body workout.
Module 5: Glutes and Lower Body Strength
This session we will work on strengthening your lower body and glutes. Strengthening your glutes can reduce pain in the lower back, knees and hamstrings.
Module 6: Stretch and Mobility
This session will focus on stretching and mobilising your body. This will assist in providing full-body relief from pain and tension.
